About Me

Hi, I’m Levi Chávez. I’m 18 and will be majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration in the spring of 2026. In my spare time, I enjoy learning about philosophy, technology, and the issues of today's world. I love tuning my devices to get the most out of them, and enjoy learning about how hardware and software work together. I love open source software, and I am an advocate for freedom of religion, speech, and expression. I love spending time with family and friends, even if we disagree. I love self improvement and accept everyone, even if we don't see eye to eye.

I’ve spent years gaining computer science knowledge and feel comfortable navigating nearly every operating system. I used Windows, MacOS, FreeBSD, Debian/Ubuntu, RHEL/Fedora, and Arch based Linux distributions. I have many projects, like one of the first open source optimization tools for Mac, called OptiMac. OptiMac disables many unnecessary features and cleans up the system in order to get it running optimally. I also built a desktop from scratch, installed Libreboot on a Dell OptiPlex 7010 MT, and flashed a custom BIOS onto a Lenovo ThinkPad W520. I keep up with the latest hardware and software news with unmatched dedication.
